World book Day - April 23

Colleagues,

April 23rd is World Book Day or International Day of the Book. I'd like to invite you to review the books others shared as resources for professional development.

What are you reading? What would you recommend to others? Two of my favorites:

Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy - After Sheryl Sandburg lost her husband, she wrote this book about returning to work after a personal crisis. I've used this book in leadership training in the past and helped leaders develop strategies and processes when a team member has faced a serious personal struggle.

Death by Meeting: A Leadership Fable ....About Solving the Most Painful Problems in Business - Do you find yourself working hours after the workday is over? Are you trying to catch up on  your work because you have been in meetings all day? Patrick Lenioni, author of The Five Disfunctions of a Team, provides more insight into the concept of bad meetings and how to make your time productive.

Stop by your local library and grab one of these books and then share some other resources we can read.
