Understanding the complex issues around substance use disorder is vital for the workforce system to reach and assist individuals and businesses impacted by opioid addiction. This webinar will provide an overview of training resources developed in Ohio, how they can be accessed and utilized to train workforce professionals in other areas of the public workforce system.

Guest speakers from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services will share an overview of "Strategies for Serving Individuals Impacted by Opioid Use Disorder: A Toolkit for Ohio’s Public Workforce System." The Toolkit is designed to guide and support Workforce Boards and workforce development professionals as they implement policies, processes, and services. It is built around the following key pillars of success: Strong Local Partnerships; Holistic Care Management; Steps to Success; Recovery-Friendly Workplaces; and Knowledgeable Staff. In addition, the speakers will share "Ohio Opioid Curriculum”, a free 23-part online curricula series to educate a variety of disciplines about substance use disorder and its impact.
