This webinar provides an overview of Administration policy priorities related to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and recovery in workplace and will familiarize participants with the Recovery Ready Workplace (RRW) Hub, an online resource hosted by the Employment and Training Administration.

The development of the RRW Hub was spearheaded by the White House's Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Domestic Policy Council (DPC) in collaboration with various government agencies, including the Department of Labor.

The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) leads the development and implementation of the President’s National Drug Control Strategy (Strategy), which guides federal efforts to reduce drug use and its consequences.  The RRW Resource Hub was developed in support of the Strategy, which calls on Executive Branch agencies to expand employment opportunities for people in recovery and encourage the adoption Recovery-Ready Workplace policies. The resource hub, provides information, guidance, tools, best practices, and a range of other resources to help public and private sector employers effectively address substance use disorder in the workforce, hire people who are in or seeking recovery, and support recovery in the workplace. A toolkit, that will be made available through the hub, is currently nearing completion. As part of this effort, ONDCP and DPC are also working to encourage the adoption of recovery-ready workplace policies in Federal workplaces.
