The first truly American holiday, Thanksgiving, is nearly upon us! Giving students pertinent topics to write about is a piece of cake (or in this case, pumpkin pie) this time of year with a Gratitude Journal. This simple exercise makes a great bellringer. Not only will students practice their writing skills, but studies show that an attitude of gratitude improves mental health!
