Solving the projected shortfall in the number of American workers available to fill jobs that require a postsecondary degree or credential.

Colleagues,

The paper, Framing the Opportunity: Eight State Policy Recommendations that Support Postsecondary Credential Completion for Underserved Populations, presents eight policy recommendations aimed at addressing a projected shortfall in the number of American workers available to fill jobs that require a postsecondary degree or credential.

The paper concludes with, “We cannot be satisfied with general improvements in postsecondary completion if this means inadvertently widening achievement gaps and decreasing economic opportunity for those who need it most.”

When working with justice involved individuals, what educational strategies are you able to incorporate in your program to aid in the development of a credential? What barriers are you experiencing? Does anyone have a model to share?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
