Hello Colleagues, Distinguishing fact from opinion is not always straightforward for adult learners. You can find some useful resources for engaging learners in identifying fact versus opinion at the E-Reading Worksheets website. Having students come up with their own topics and then generate ideas that are facts and other ideas that are opinions can be effective. Here is a link to a graphic organizer that can be used for this purpose.
