National Telephone Discount Lifeline Awareness Week is this week.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Lifeline Program helps low income consumers connect to the nation's communications networks, enabling them to access critical healthcare services and providers; connect with family, friends and their children’s school; call 9-1-1 in an emergency; obtain important information on benefits; and, seek, gain, and maintain employment.
