Math in Context: Math for the Workplace [Webinar]

Learners that can decode real world situations into math problems and reach a correct solution have an employment advantage. So, how do adult education instructors contextualize math instruction to prepare learners for success in the workplace?

Join the Math in Context: Math in the Workplace webinar on Friday, September 7, from 2-3 p.m. ET to explore strategies for explicit, contextualized math instruction that includes decoding complex word problems, money math, calculating and data analysis, and critical thinking. At the end of the webinar, a list of interactive math resources will be provided. After the webinar, guest presenter Michael Matos and moderator Brooke Istas will be asking and answering questions in the LINCS Community Math and Numeracy Group.

To participate, first, log into or set up your LINCS account and join the Math and Numeracy Group.
