LINCS Community is home to a new public group for career and technical education (CTE) professionals: Advancing Equity in Career and Technical Education!
This moderated group will help build the capacity of CTE professionals to address equity barriers in CTE program enrollment, participation, and completion by providing a forum to engage in thoughtful discussions and share tools and resources for increasing equity in CTE programming. You don’t need to be a CTE educator to participate; anyone with an interest can join.
The group will help increase equity across various CTE program topics, including:
- How can more females be encouraged to enroll in advanced manufacturing programs?
- How can access to work-based learning be provided to rural students?
- How can more Native American CTE students be supported in completing postsecondary credentials?
In addition to facilitated discussions, other equity-focused professional learning opportunities and resources will include a toolkit, webinars, interactive resource reviews, blog posts, and important event announcements.
