Password Policy - Revised

Since we implemented the LINCS Password Policy in May,  we have heard from many community members that it was too cumbersome.  As with any new system, our community is a continuously improving work-in-progress, and we want to let you  know that we appreciate your comments and are working to make the LINCS Community more user-friendly.

LINCS is a federal website that must comply with federal  guidelines. We are pleased to announce that we have worked with the necessary offices to implement a revision to the existing policy. While the revised policy allows for shorter passwords (8 characters, instead of 14) there are still several requirements that must remain in place. (See below for details.) To change your password, visit the password section of your LINCS Community account profile.

We need to continue hearing from you to help make this community more user-friendly.  If you have any additional thoughts or suggestions, please use the Contact Us button at the top of the page.

Best regards,

Jo
