Reminder: Edit Your Email Notifications to Receive Bulletin Notices!

LINCS Community members,

The community’s new Bulletin tab (in each discussion group) is the perfect place to broadcast information about an upcoming training, meeting, conference, or other event (i.e., a “Save the Date”); an available position within your organization; and any other news items. All LINCS Community members are able to post items to their group’s Bulletin tab. Members should continue to use the Discussions tab for topics that require conversation with other members. Remember to edit your email notifications to ensure you receive Bulletin notices by following the instructions below. LINCS Community members will not automatically begin receiving email notifications for Bulletin announcements.

Tips for making sure you receive Bulletin announcements: It is very easy to set or reset your email notifications to ensure that you receive Bulletin announcements from groups that you have joined. On the home page of a group you have joined, click on the notifications option in the Group menu on the right side of the screen (i.e., “Get notifications” or “Stop getting notifications”). If you choose “Get notifications,” you will be asked which group you wish to receive notifications from, which type of content you wish to receive notifications for (i.e., Discussion, Bulletin, Document, etc.), and how often you wish to receive notifications. If you already receive notifications, choose “Stop getting notifications,” then choose “Get notifications” to reset your preferences and make sure you have selected the option to receive notifications for Bulletins and any other content areas of interest.
