Tomorrow! Making the Pieces Fit: Identifying and Boosting the Integrated Skills Addressed in a Transitions Minded Lesson

Join the LINCS Community Teaching and Learning Group tomorrow at 1PM ET for “Making the Pieces Fit: Identifying and Boosting the Integrated Skills Addressed in a Transitions Minded Lesson.” This webinar and discussion will share and consider research about the benefits of a growth mindset – the belief that knowledge and understanding can develop like a muscle, credited to Carol Dweck – and address how a growth mindset can be incorporated within the Transitions Integrated Framework for adult learners.

Participants will work with a growth mindset lesson plan, identify multiple transition skills that can be addressed by the plan’s activities, and actively engage in this topic to gain concrete ideas for the classroom. As a result, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze one transitions-minded resource to identify what transitions skills it would support
  • Better understand how other ABE programs around the country support transitions-minded instruction
  • Identify at least three new resources for classroom use
  • Practice a growth mindset in the classroom

To participate, register for the webinar and join the Teaching & Learning Group in the LINCS Community.

Thanks,

The LINCS Team
