Tonight: LINCS Scheduled Maintenance to Merge Accounts

Dear LINCS Community members,

Please note that the LINCS Community will be offline tonight in order to perform the technical update needed to merge the log in processes for the LINCS Community and the LINCS Learning Portal. Once this process is complete, you will be able to access both the Community and the Learning Portal with one set of log in credentials, rather than two separate accounts. This change will make the log in process simpler for our many users who use both systems, and will make it easier for brand-new users of either system to access all of the high-quality professional development opportunities that LINCS has to offer.

The LINCS Community will be unavailable this evening from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. EDT. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once the LINCS Community comes back online tomorrow, you will need to take the following actions to access the Community or the Learning Portal:

  • Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5, 2014, all users will be required to change their passwords before they are able to log in to either the LINCS Community or the LINCS Learning Portal.

  • Starting tomorrow, users will be required to log in with the email address associated with their account, rather than their Community username.

Another reminder will be sent tomorrow after the change, but in order to change your password and log in, you will need to do the following:

  • Go to https://community.lincs.ed.gov

  • Select the LINCS Log In button in the top right corner of the screen.

  • Select the Forgot Password button on the right-hand side.

  • Enter your email address and submit the form.

  • Check your email (including your spam filter!) for a password reset email.

  • Click the link in the email to be directed to the new LINCS landing page.

  • Update your password.

  • Click the LINCS Community icon to be logged into the LINCS Community.

If you have any questions about this change, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Thanks,

The LINCS Community Team
