Please join me in welcoming Priyanka Sharma as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Postsecondary Completion group. Priyanka will be stepping into the role after Ellen Hewett's dedicated and much appreciated service to LINCS in her role as the group's SME and her previous work with the LINCS Transition to Postsecondary discussion list.
Priyanka is the coordinator of the National College Transition Network (NCTN) at World Education, Inc. Her expertise includes project management and designing training events for regional and national conferences on college and career readiness resources, best practices, and financial literacy. Priyanka is skilled at coaching programs as they start, integrate, or strengthen a transition/college-prep component, and responsible for organizing the annual conference on Effective Transitions in Adult Education. She has extensive experience in using technology to enhance and accelerate learning experiences online and in-person and is a prolific user of social media, interested in finding ways of integrating new media and web 2.0 tools in professional development design and delivery. Prior to joining NCTN/World Education in 2005, she managed a non-profit arts organization. She currently serve as the Board President of Friends of Community Learning Center, an organization that raises funds and public awareness for the Community Learning Center, an adult basic education program in Cambridge. Priyanka is also a Board member of The City School, a youth organization based in Boston.
