Welcome Ryan Hall New SME for Diversity and Literacy Group!

 

I am pleased to introduce the new Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Diversity and Literacy group, Ryan Hall.  Ryan will begin her role this Friday, February 8. Ryan brings over twelve years of experience in teaching adults at various literacy levels including English as a Second Language, (ESL), adult basic education (ABE), adult secondary education (ASE), and developmental college courses.  She is the Director of Programs at Literacy Action, a community-based ABE/ASE program in Atlanta, Georgia. Ryan is interested diversity issues in the adult literacy classroom, best practices for teaching adults, and building effective adult literacy programs. Ryan  holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language from Georgia State University and is currently a doctoral student in Educational Psychology at Georgia State University.
