A non-profit group called United for Oxnard (California) is sponsoring a College and Resource Fair in January.
The participants will include community Junior and Community collleges, community based service centers, organizations for people with disabilities, the Boys and Girls Club, the United Farm Workers and MICOH (Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project).
Many of the groups sponsor literacy and citizenship classes.
This is an excellent way for Formal and Non-Formal educational organizations to begin to work together by informing the community about the programs available.
