Announcing the Youth and Adult Pathways Event Series & Microgroup
If you are a member of our Career Pathways group, you may have noticed that the Youth and Adult Pathways (YAP) Event Series has launched a microgroup within our community!
The Youth and Adult Pathways (YAP) Event Series is an OVAE project executed by the Manhattan Strategy Group. The project aims to complement and enhance OVAE’s past and ongoing career pathways work by bringing the career and technical education (CTE) and the adult education communities together. The new microgroup will feature month-long discussions and webinars led by a series of subject matter experts and will create an opportunity for CTE and adult education professionals to share their practices, initiatives, and emerging policies in building a career pathways system that works for youth and adults. Within the microgroup, members will be able to engage in discussions, as well as read and respond to special postings by subject matter experts covering professional tips, case studies, and answers to frequently asked questions. The following events are occurring this month:
- Available now: View or download the “Building Strategic Partnerships” webinar with Subject Matter Expert Debbie Mills, recorded at the NCPN Conference
- December 11: Participate live in the “Designing Contextualized Instruction” webinar with Subject Matter Expert Lyn Velle
- All month long: Log on for discussions, blog posts, and downloadable resources related to the topics of “Building Strategic Partnerships” and “Designing Contextualized Instruction”

To join the microgroup, first make sure that you are a member of the main Career Pathways group in the LINCS Community. On that group’s home page you will see a pale blue Microgroup box on the right side of the screen. Click the Youth and Adult Pathways (YAP) link to enter the microgroup. The microgroup functions the same way as all other community groups.
