Dear LINCS Community Members,
Spreading the word about open educational resources (OER) and their value in adult education is a primary goal of the OER STEM project. We recently created an OER Fact Sheet for Adult Education to help adult educators and others in the field learn more about OER. This fact sheet defines OER and provides links to find, evaluate, create, and share OER. In addition, we have included an adult education-specific example of what instruction with OER could look like. We welcome you to read, share, and modify this resource for your use—you can find the fact sheet on our LINCS project page and on OER Commons.
As a reminder, we have created a public Groups page on OER Commons for adult educators and learners to use as a repository of OER for the adult education classroom. Please contact us at OERSTEM@air.org with questions or visit the project page for more information about OER in adult education.
