What is an OER? Discover New Resources This Week!

Dear community members,

Kick off your work week by checking out our new special discussion: From Inquiry to Practice: A Guided Exploration of OERs in Adult Education. Facilitators from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) are on hand to guide this conversation about Open Educational Resources (OERs) and how they can be of value to adult education programs and classrooms. Their project, Open Educational Resources to Increase Teaching and Learning of STEM Subjects in Adult Education, has evaluated more than 120 OERs for adult education, so you will be sure to gain access to many resources for your practice, and learn practical information on how you can best utilize them.

Check out the brief audio presentation to hear directly from the presenters about this activity, then, join us in the Correctional Education, Professional Development, Math and Numeracy, Reading and Writing, Science, and Technology and Learning groups. This discussion will be facilitated by AIR staff throughout this week, and will continue beyond with moderation by the LINCS Community subject matter experts.

Best regards,

The LINCS Community Team
