The conference will be held on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

This annual convening, entitled “Using Data to Effect Change,” provides an opportunity for educators to gather and discuss

  • evaluation processes to improve and expand minority student programs and initiatives
  • evidence-based program development
  • effective research and data-mining techniques
  • building capacity and collaborations among minority serving institutions to advance research that promotes equity for all students

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Proposals are being accepted for workshops that focus on collecting and using data effectively, and presentations on evidence-based programs and initiatives. Graduate students are also eligible to submit a proposal for the graduate student poster session. For more detailed information, please visit the MSI Convening website at https://richlandcollege.edu/msi-convening. The deadline for proposals for both workshops and posters is Friday, June 8.
