Richland College in collaboration with the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving-Institution (AANAPISI) Program is hosting its annual two-day conference for institutions of higher education interested in improving success of minority and underserved student populations. The conference will be held on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.
This annual convening, entitled “Using Data to Effect Change,” provides an opportunity for educators to gather and discuss
evaluation processes to improve and expand minority student programs and initiatives
evidence-based program development
effective research and data-mining techniques
building capacity and collaborations among minority serving institutions to advance research that promotes equity for all students
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Lee Lambert, Chancellor of the Pima Community College District, will lead the Opening Address on Friday, October 18th. Dr. Lambert will guide the Convening and inspire participants to share effective strategies and evidence-based research for evaluating programs and initiatives that support minority student success. This year, the keynote address will be followed by a panel of community college students who will share their stories of navigating higher education.
