National Immigration Forum on Making the Case for Preparing the Immigrant Workforce

The National Immigration Forum posted a piece titled, Preparing Immigrants to Reach their Potential is a Win-Win on its blog.  The post addresses the projected shortage of 7.5 million workers by 2020, and industries' concern about skills gaps, while highlighting the potential of the 42 million immigrants in the U.S.  The author makes a case for preparing immigrants to meet the workforce needs of businesses and reach their potential as a Win-Win scenario – where businesses gain the talent they need to compete, and immigrants and their families have increased opportunities to integrate into the U.S. workforce.
