Teaching language and literacy through the teaching of meaningful content is not only highly effective but is also motivating to adult English learners. During a webinar to be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 4:00 pm Eastern, professor Doreen Ewert will first outline the many benefits of focusing language and literacy instruction on relevant content and will demonstrate numerous practical techniques and learning tasks for making content the focus of instruction. She will then lead a lively discussion on this approach in the days following the webinar. You won’t want to miss this special LINCS event!
Dr. Doreen Ewert is Associate Professor and Director of the Academic English for Multilingual Students Program in the Department of Rhetoric and Language at the University of San Francisco.
