Reading aloud to adult learners
- Blogger Kasey Short reads aloud to her class for 5 minutes each day.
- Do you read aloud to the adults in your class? If so, what do you read and for how long and how often? If not, would you like to? What are your thoughts about reading aloud to students?
- A lot of HSE classes are quiet as students work independently on the subjects they need to pass an HSE subtest. However, there is good evidence that we learn a lot from talking with others about what we are studying. Check out this thread for a great resource on ways to supporting productive talk between and among learners on academic topics.
