Welcome to the LINCS Community Teaching and Learning group! 

The target audience for this group is practitioners, administrators, advocates, researchers, and policymakers. The focus of the group is to explore evidence-based instructional practices that create opportunities for success for all learners. Our goal is to support educators in their use of research-based instructional practices and their efforts to contextualize learning to the lived experiences of adult learner, and to strengthen student learning with educational resources, opportunities, and other learning environments.

Topics discussed include:

  • Differentiated instruction
  • Universal Design for Learning
  • Creating more accessible adult education classrooms
  • Backwards design; using learner outcomes to identify learning objectives, instructional activities, and assessment strategies
  • Contextualizing curriculum to support learner needs and goals
  • Increasing instructors' capacity to meet the needs of all learners
  • Including learner expertise in class instruction-centering students' lived experiences and personal expertise in instruction

To join the group, follow the steps below: 

  • Create a LINCS Account.
  • Log in to LINCS with your account credentials, return to this page, and click on "Join Group" on the left menu.
  • Select Daily or Immediate from the dropdown menu under "Subscription Type" on left menu to receive notifications and click the blue Update button to confirm.
