Common Core Standards made fun

Hi all,

I am glad to be back on line and catching up with all my groups.

My name is Robin Matusow and I provide consulting services in the area of adults with disabilities. My primary work is done in the area of developing systems and partnerships that result in businesses hiring persons with disabilities and educational institutions providing accommodations thru policy and practice. My background is running an adults with disabilities department and grant serving over 4,000 students with disabilities in both traditional adult ed/CTE and agency based services.

A new associate asked me if I knew any resources for a PD on common core standards that would be fun and interesting to a Gen Ed teacher group. So, I am throwing it out there to see if any one can pass on a good resource that will be practical for subject area teachers but not heavily involved with administration/policy etc...

Hi Robin and all,

When I read your question, I was remembering that there had been some discussion on other of the groups on the topic, so I wanted to suggest looking up common core standards using the "search" feature that is on the top of all the pages in this site.  There's a drop down box for where you want to search, and I chose "Entire site" and then typed in common core standards in the search box.  I got two pages of hits, each with links to where the phrase had appeared in messages.  See if you find anything helpful that way.
