Google Hangout Experiment Begun by Technology and Learning LINCS Group

Hello All,

The Technology and Learning group has been having a rousing conversation around the "new" (fairly) Google platform called Google Hangouts.  It's a tool that allows video conferencing, screen sharing and a whiteboard as well as the ability to share documents through Google Docs.  They just recently organized an experimental hangout session to test out the tool and see in what ways it might be used for professional development, sharing of resources, etc.  I encourage anyone interested to nip over to the Technology and Learning group to review the discussion.  They have already scheduled a second event and have lots of interest (a single Hangout can only accomodate 9 people for video conferencing) in scheduling even more.  If we have enough interest here I'd love to see if we can't put our own experimental Hangout together.  You can check out more and complete the necessary installations at http://www.google.com/+/learnmore/hangouts/.  Please let me know if anyone is interested in giving it a try!
