Google's Digital Literacy Curriculum for Problem Solving and Job Skills

"Introducing Google's Digital Literacy Curriculum for Problem Solving and Job Skills"

Date: Friday, May 18, 2018
Time: 2:00-3:00 p.m. EDT

Webinar Announcement: The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) has collaborated with Grow with Google to bring the Applied Digital Skills curriculum to family literacy and learning practitioners. We often hear that practitioners and educators in the field are seeking content to help address the digital literacy needs of learners.

Applied Digital Skills is a free, video-based, online curriculum designed to prepare teens and adults for the evolving job market. The curriculum teaches project-based digital skills relevant to real-life situations like event planning, budgeting, creating a guide to an area, finding a job, and more. The curriculum can be facilitated by an instructor, or taken independently. In this session you'll hear from Google about the curriculum and best practices on how to use it to meet your goals.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

We look forward to seeing you online soon!

What needs would you like to see addressed in this Webinar? We don't often discuss family-literacy practices although our Reading and Writing CoP is charged with dialoguing on how to promote literacy among whole families! I'm sure that the digital resources promoted will provide many ideal ways to engage all family members! Effective literacy activities  and problem solving go together. Add job-related content, and we have a win-win-win equation!

After the Webinar, return here to comment on what you think of the Grow-with-Google  resources. Let's take the discussion a step further! See you here on the 18th or soon thereafter! Leecy
