Hello colleagues and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday.
Many high intermediate and/or advanced English learners who are seeking to transition are required to take a standardized reading test to enter training or college. The fact that most of these tests are timed increases the challenge for language learners. I'm wondering if members have good ideas for how to support learners to increase their reading speed without losing comprehension. Do you know of instructional strategies that have actually been proven useful? If so, please let us know.
