Career Pathways Colleagues,
In the LINCS Integrating Technology group, Susan Jones commented about career pathways, writing: "...so much of success is Making The Right Connections, as well as acquiring assorted skills...."
I replied that this was a very important observation, that the combination of having marketable skills (and knowledge and ideally some experience) and "Making the Right Connections" is the career pathways magic formula."
Do you agree?
I have two more questions -- for those who work in or with a career pathways program: how do you help adult learners make good connections that lead to good employment in their career pathway field, and what is a "good connection"?
