National Skills Coalition: Upskilling Adults with Disabilities through Better Systems Alignment

A new brief from the National Skills Coalition (NSC) highlights a Texas community that has taken on the challenge of creating equitable systems alignment. Stakeholders in the workforce development, adult education, and vocational rehabilitation systems in the Rural Capital region of Texas have been collaborating since 2016.

Upskilling adult learners with disabilities: How collaboration among adult education, vocational rehabilitation, and workforce development partners can strengthen systems also provides recommendations for state and federal policymakers who want to support persons with disabilities through improved systems alignment.

Are you working with systems outside of adult education to provide better outcomes for your learners with disabilities?  If not, what can you take away from this brief to help consider how you might approach this idea in the future?
