Hello colleagues, November is Native American Heritage Month. Check out the link for some ready made lesson plans and resources. You will find some additional interesting classroom lessons at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian including a resource highlighting "American Indian Perspectives on Thanksgiving" and "A Harvest Ceremony: Beyond the Thanksgiving Myth." Learning about Thanksgiving myths seems especially important.
There is also an online educational game, Infinity of Nations Culture Quest, to learn about native cultures throughout the Americas.
