A Public Health Emergency - Services for adults with developmental disabilities

Hello group members,

In a standing-room only meeting with Connecticut state legislators, family members of individuals with life-affecting disabilities had 3 minutes each to share stories about the state's inadequate policies and funding.  With more than 3,500 consumers waiting for services and support, the mostly aging parents shared their concerns about the most basic needs that are not available.  They talked about such critical issues as housing, transition after the loss of a parent, respite care, and educational programs.

Do any of your states have unique policies in place that provide such programs and services for this population?
