TESOL- Where will or would you be? Please share...

The International Teachers of English to speakers of other Languages (TESOL) conference will be held from March 26-29 in Portland, Oregon. This is a huge gathering of practitioners and researchers who work with English learners of all ages, in all instructional contexts, all over the world.

As TESOL says:
"[It is t]he largest professional development and networking event for English language educators in the world…. will bring together educators from more than 75 counties in Portland, Oregon USA, for this industry event…The annual convention is organized by TESOL International Association, the professional association for more than 13,000 teachers of English to speakers of other languages from across the globe"

 For more information, see http://www.tesol.org/attend-and-learn/international-convention/convention2014/education-sessions

I hope to find out what is the latest research and the latest buzz on working with adult learners.

I’ll be part of two presentations: one is a report for the refugee skills special interest group on an overseas pilot program to teach English to refugees as they await resettlement to the United States. It will be held on Saturday, March 29, at Convention Ctr. - C126, 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM. The other is an exhibitor session on free materials to use in helping consumers with limited English literacy to avoid financial scams. It will be held on Saturday, March 29, at Convention Ctr. - F149 , 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM

This is to invite you to share in advance in this discussion thread the following:

1. If you will be there, what sessions will you deliver or do you plan to attend?

2. Whether or not you will be there, what kinds of information or resources would you like to be shared with this group after the conference?

Hope to hear from you.

Miriam
