Hello colleagues, If you are teaching high intermediate or advanced English learners who are interested in nurse training, you might want to check out the USA Learns course, Skills for Nursing Assistant. This is a self-paced online course that integrates mini-lectures and communication skills.
Here's the introduction to the course on the site:
"The Skills for the Nursing Assistant course teaches the language and academic skills to help you successfully communicate with patients and co-workers on the job. This course is ideal for students with English skills that are High Intermediate and above. It will help you prepare for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant or other jobs in the health care field."
This course could be drawn upon by teachers for in-class lessons, which I have done in the past myself, and/or be made available as supplemental distance learning.
