There can be little doubt that digital literacy is a crucial part of one's journey as they return to their communities after a stay in a jail or prison setting. From completing an on-line job application, to securing essential identification documents, and even reentry resources, being able to navigate a computer or cell phone could be the difference between life and incarceration. As technology continues to grow and advance at warp speed, why do we remain behind in bringing computer educational platforms into our correctional settings. I know that we are making progress, but I am curious to hear the reasons that hold us back and what we can do to improve our digital literacy programming.
