LINCS is excited to announce its next webinar and discussion: “A Mobile Tech Revolution in Low-Wage Work.”

On April 25 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM ET, a webinar featuring guest speakers from the digital literacy and English language learner communities will share information and answer questions about how the technology revolution is making digital literacy necessary, even in low-skill service jobs. The webinar will highlight employer partnerships on career advancement and learning basic skills through the use of mobile devices in online learning. A panel discussion on the decision-making behind different hardware options for mobile learning in the workplace will be held on April 26. The conversation will address topics such as the kinds of devices used for mobile learning; advantages and disadvantages of feature phones, smart phones, tablets, e-readers, laptops and other portable digital devices; and challenges and solutions regarding access.

To wrap up the week, on April 27-28, a panel discussion will commence on models of implementation across various types of workers, and work environments, including case studies from panelists.
