Integer App is "test ready"

I made all the little graphics and filled in all the stuff and paid the $25 so -- I'm an"Android App Developer!"

I put my app as a "test" one -- though it's so simple that even if it "breaks" it won't do anything bad to anybody's computer (it just won't work).   No infinite loops :-)

It's designed to show that we can have math activities that are visual and pretty concrete, that bridge to the abstract concepts.   I'd appreciate any comments or tests especially just to see if it actually opens up in somebody else's android device!   (and please forward to anybody who'd be willing to check it out)

But, I can't open it on my laptop computer (since it's for mobile), and when I search for it in the play store I can't find your app. I think I may need to follow the link above on my phone in order to get testing privilages, but I can't seem to open LINCS on my phone at all. I'm not sure if that's a LINCs problem or a phone problem... Is there another way to do this? For example, could you email the link to those of us who are interested?

You can download it directly to your android device if you set your device to allow "unknown" apps in.   (Go to Settings and I think "Security" -- though when my student tried to download it, it took him right to the place, including a default "but only for this app! so it might not be that hard).   https://www.dropbox.com/s/t8n28c2yr321q3n/app-release.apk?dl=0   is where it lives.

However...

Did you get to a page that asked you to click to become a tester, or just the "not found" at all?

I got a "click to be a tester," then a "file not found" the first time I tried, then I didn't the second time -- and I was on my PC so it would have at least tried to install it there...

This is all a little "out there in beta land" though -- the site itself says it will test my app and give me a 'pre-launch report,' but ... that was 3 days ago, and I'm sure it's an automatic thing, and I've gotten a survey to *review* the report but I haven't gotten the actual report!   It says it's still workin' on it...

Sue and all -

I can see the pages of the app on my PC. I tried to set up the BlueStacks program to use apps - The computer said it downloaded, then it kept grinding and grinding...

Anyway - I like the active number line idea. Let me know if your students "get it" better with the app.

I'm sure there's a way to make this happen with the assorted "interactive web" programming options but ... I can only learn 'em so fast.   We actually have abrand new course here at Parkland in "interactive web design" -- but I decided to focus on the "Design for Good" OER MOOC from http://designersforlearning.org/   ...
