Hello colleagues, I live in Pennsylvania where the fall season is beautiful! Here are a couple of sites that feature photos of fall that would be wonderful to draw from for a lesson about autumn.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an online resource that offers a fairly simple explanation for why leaves change color in the fall?
Enjoy the season!

There's a lot here for discussion prompts, but I'm starting off with one of these beautiful photos for the wallpaper on my desktop! Now for discussion or writing prompts - growing a giant pumpkin? Growing cranberries? Horse and cart vs. automobile?
Thanks for these ideas, Marian! I was thinking about visiting a farm to go on a hayride and pick out a pumpkin. Could we do this with our class virtually?
Here's a link to a video that features a virtual trip to a farm in the fall. The video shows farm animals, a hayride, lots and lots of pumpkins, a corn maze, etc. It would be fun to use this in class. What do you think, teachers?
Take care, Susan
