Live Session: Autism Advocacy: Supporting Self-Esteem, Acceptance, and Group Identity 

Description: Join Dr. Katherine Hurley, a licensed professional counselor, in a conversation on self-esteem, acceptance, and group identity for clients on the autism spectrum.  Bring your questions, comments, and experiences supporting neurodiverse adult learners in your classroom and program.

Description: Join your colleagues for a Coffee Break to discuss instructional approaches for transitioning English learners successfully to Adult Basic Education (ABE). Discuss ways to effectively support these learners in achieving their goals, whether that is to earn a high school diploma, enter training, reclaim their profession in the US, or go to college.

Description: Sometimes wearing another person’s glasses can help you see the world differently. This is especially true in the correctional and reentry education arena. Join us to hear directly from students who will share their experiences while learning from behind the walls of our prisons and jails.  We encourage you to use the lenses of the students as you reflect on ways to improve the correctional education setting.
